KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) — Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein gave an assurance on the safety of Padang Serai Member of Parliament, N. Gobalakrishnan, from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), who claimed to have received a death threat via the short messaging service (SMS) on his handphone earlier today.

Road safety action to curb North Yorkshire biker deaths (York Press)

POPULAR haunts frequented by motorcyclists using the region’s roads are being targeted in a multi-agency operation this weekend. 95 Alive, the North Yorkshire Road Safety Partnership, is working with North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service in a bid to curb the number of deaths on the county’s 6,000 miles of road.

Drowning sad lesson in pool safety (London Free Press)

CENTREVILLE — The death of a little girl pulled from a pool at a rural home day care drew reminders yesterday of the need for water safety for kids. A registry search of the property where the unidentified four-year-old was found face down in a backyard pool Wednesday shows it belongs to Joan Way.
